timr is a “power user” tool because you will work with it every working day. Therefore, we designed it to behave like a power user tool. It’s a little bit harder to get into it but then your time tracking becomes so nimble you would have never expected before!
Some people seem to have problems with the timr usability. The reason is that timr is a very modern web application. It behaves more like a desktop application by still providing the benefits of a web application. There are 3 key features in timr which most of you probably wouldn’t expect in a web application:
- using the context menu
- doubleclick
- drag & drop
Use the context menu by right clicking with our mouse. E.g. in the recording tab, click on a recorded record with the right mouse. You will get a context menu which lets you edit the record, and you could even start a new recording for this task by selecting “Start new record with task”.
In the recording tab, select the task you’d like to record and double click on it. Recording immediately starts.
Drag&drop can be used widely within timr. E.g. you can use drag&drop to change the task of a recorded record. Simply open the properties of the record by using the context menu, then select the task in the tree. Now, move the new task from the tree onto the task field in the records properties dialog.
