The new version includes a completely revamped UI with improved support for touch screen BlackBerry devices, reporting for all types of recordings and many other improvements.
The new timr iOS App (v1.5.8) offers a great new DriveLog feature. The new Automatic GPS Mileage Tracking enables you to track your mileage by GPS. It is very precise and the best thing is, it automatically detects if you move by feet or by car and only tracks your mileage if you’re moving by car!
With the new App you can start mileage tracking when you’re leaving your home in the morning and you can stop it back at home at the end of the day. Have you ever forgotten to stop mileage tracking in the evening when you arrived at home? Now, with the new timr Automatic GPS Mileage Tracking you can easily save the drivelog for the whole day at your couch and don’t have to take a look at your odometer every day.

A) Choose Date and Time Format
We know our US customers are already awaiting this feature for a long time: You can now select your date & time format.
To change your current date & time format go to Administration/Settings and choose between one of the available formats.
B) History
timr now tracks any changes to your working time, project time or drive log records. If a record was changed afterwards you can verify all changes. For the drive log you can also create a special pdf report which contains all changes to your drive log records. Some governments require such a report in order to accept your electronic drivelog.
C) Reuse Last Comments
You can now simply choose your comment for your current time record based on oe of your previous comments. This feature is available for working time and project time tracking.
D) Minor Improvements
We’ve added some Bugfixes and minor improvements like our new User Display Format “Lastname Firstname”
We’ve just released a new update for the timr web application which adds some really nice features and many improvements.
A) Rounding
A lot of users had been asking for it, now it’s available.
The nicest thing about our rounding implementation: Your recorded time stays untouched, it only rounds durations for the reporting. That means you can apply different rounding mechanisms for your clients. You can also configure your default rounding in you account settings.
B) New Statistics
Being honest, the old statistics window wasn’t really nice but it took us a while to get rid of it. Now we’re ready with much nicer table sums and statistics, we hope you like it.

C) Improvements
We’ve added a lot of minor improvements. Just to name one: You can now also sort a table by the task column which is quite helpful to group all records by task.

With the latest timr Android version 1.3.10 it is possible to create reports for your team colleagues on your Android device. You can easily select which users should be included in the report in the filter settings and the results include the time entries for them. In the report PDF the times are listed for each user too which means you can create the full time table for your customer or supervisor.
In our latest update we added two improvements:
In the settings you can define the default and in the task tree you can temporary show or hide them by clicking the checkbox.
The default selection of the current weeks shows you the status of the current week. It is easier to select on specific day by flipping through them with the next and previous buttons on the left. The SSL certificate we are currently using expires 1st September 2011. We already renewed it but the new certificate includes a change in the certificate authority. This makes it necessary to update you timr Android client to the version 1.3.8 which we just released into the Android Market.
Important: The current version 1.3.7 of the timr Android client will not work with secure connections after 2011/08/31 – so it is required to update your client until then!
We’re now on the market with timr for more than 2 years. As with most Startup’s, we’ve started very small and with low budget. Since the majority of our team consists of technicians and because we’ve decided to design the website as well as the web application by our own due to the lack of money, the previous design was very technical. Meanwhile, the number of timr users has grown quite well, on the BlackBerry platform we’re among the world’s top 3 time tracking applications. We believe these successes of the last 2 years should also be reflected in the timr appearance. Therefore, we’ve developed the brand new, modern and appealing layout together with Midhouse Creative. From today on, timr gets a new website, web application as well as a new logo. The look&feel of our mobile apps will follow quite soon.
For us, the new layout reflects a milestone in the development of timr. At the same time, it’s also the starting point for many great extensions and improvements that will follow in the future.
We hope that the new layout matches our user’s taste and we’re really looking forward on your feedback!
