Today two timr users contacted us because they were not able to connect their BlackBerry to timr.com. All the settings under BlackBerry Options -> timr Options were set correct. They checked their identifier, username and password. timr always said that it was not able to communicate with the server.
They were on two different carriers but they had in common that they were only using BlackBerry Internet Service without an Enterprise Server. So they did not have to check the “use BES” under timr Options.
The solution was to configure the correct APN under BlackBerry Options -> Advanced Options -> TCP/IP. To find out the correct APN for their carrier we recommended the help page of Opera Mini.
